Arcticdawn Alaskan Malamutes
Atka Ch. MACH, U-CDX Arcticdawn's Guardian Spirit UDX, WTD, WLD,WWPDX is Sis' boy born in November of 99'. He has his mother's wonderful temperament and lots of drive. He is a natural lead dog and has his Working Lead Dog (WLD) title from the Alaskan Malamute Cub of America. He also has his WTD (Working Team Dog) and Working Weight Pull Dog Excellent (WWPDX) titles. He was a tough weight pull competitor and placed first in his class at the 2005 Alaskan Malamute National Specialty. His willingness to work has also served him well in the obedience and agility rings. He has been the first male Alaskan Malamute to earn his AKC Master Agility titles and his Agility Championship. He is the first Alaskan Malamute to have two AKC Championship titles in front of his name. In April of 2005 Atka earned his UDX title, only the third Alaskan Malamute to have done so, the second one being his mother, Sister. In the Fall of 2009, Atka won our Alaskan Malamute of America's Working Dog Showcase. He is truly a "once in a lifetime" dog. It is our goal to breed more Alaskan Malamutes like Atka. He is much loved by everyone in our family. In his day, he went to school regularly and did sledding demonstrations and rides for school and the Boy Scouts. He is still with us and going for walks in his 15th year He is a great guy and we love him a lot.
Atka has sired two beautiful litters of puppies out of Roy and Sue Fuller's girls, Oreo and Abbie. He has sired pups in Australia and has puppies and grandpups world wide. He has just sired a beautiful litter in California with Nichole Royer. Check out our Extended Family page for pictures of his puppies and grandpuppies. Atka is CERF clear, OFA Good and has a CHD number from the Alaskan Malamute Club of America. Atka wins the Working Dog Showcase at the Alaskan Malamute National Specialty in Gettysburg Pennsylvannia in 2011. He was a few weeks shy of 10 years old.
